A Message from NASA’s Space Technology Associate Administrator on the 2019 Space Technology Research Fellowships

September 13, 2018

I am pleased to announce that the Space Technology Research Grants Program has released its annual call for proposals for the NASA Space Technology Research Fellowships (http://tinyurl.com/NSTRF2019) on September 6, 2018. Proposals will be accepted from students pursuing or planning to pursue master’s or doctoral degrees in relevant space technology disciplines. The awards, worth as much as $80,000 per year, will coincide with the start of the fall 2019 term.

NASA’s Space Technology Mission Directorate (STMD) seeks to sponsor U.S. citizen and permanent resident graduate student researchers who show significant potential to contribute to NASA’s goal of creating innovative new space technologies for our Nation’s science, exploration, and economic future. To date, NASA has awarded these prestigious grants to nearly 500 students from 94 universities across 40 states and one U.S. territory.

I would appreciate your assistance in increasing awareness about this opportunity. Please see the attached flyer that your institutions may use to advertise this call.

The deadline for submissions is November 01, 2018. I look forward to seeing proposals from graduate students from across the Nation.

Should you or your associates desire to contact us with any questions, please direct your correspondence/inquiries, in writing, to Ms. Claudia Meyer, Space Technology Research Grants Program Executive, at hq-nstrf-call@mail.nasa.gov.
