Graduate Top-Off Fellowship
Applications due Monday, March 4
Graduate Top-Off Fellowship funds are available to facilitate the recruitment of outstanding doctoral students to USC. The funds provide four incoming Ph.D. students in WiSE-eligible departments in the USC Dornsife College and four incoming Ph.D. students in the Viterbi School of Engineering with a WiSE Fellowship to supplement their financial support packages. Each WiSE Fellowship will carry a stipend of $5,000 and may be renewed for a second year pending satisfactory progress verified by the faculty advisor. For more information, click here. The WiSE Leadership Award for Students and Postdoctoral Scholars was created to distinguish exceptional students and postdoctoral scholars at USC who are making a positive difference in their scholarly community. Members of the WiSE-community should send letters of nomination detailing the nominee’s outstanding contributions to the scholarly community to wiseprog@usc.edu. Applications due Monday, March 18
The WiSE Merit Awards for Excellence in Postdoctoral Research are offered to current Postdoctoral researchers at USC who demonstrate exceptional work in their field. Candidates must be working under the mentorship of a faculty member in a WiSE-eligible department of the USC Dana and David Dornsife College or Letters, Arts, and Sciences or in the Viterbi School of Engineering. A maximum of four awards will be given each year. Candidates are nominated by the faculty and each department may nominate up to two candidates. Each WiSE Award will be for $3,000. CAMS Graduate Student Prize for Excellence in Research with a Substantial Math Component
Nominations due Monday, March 25
Any graduate student at USC who is expected to receive Ph.D. degree between May 2017 and August 2018 inclusive is eligible. If you nominated a student last year who is still eligible, the nomination will be considered again this year. Please direct nominations to the Director of CAMS and send material to Chaunte’ Williams at cwill@usc.edu
WiSE Mentorship Program

Are you a graduate student interested in being a mentor to first year WiSE graduate students? Apply to be a mentor in WiSE’s Mentorship Program! Through fun activities organized by WiSE, mentors will ease their mentee’s transition by providing her with valuable insight about graduate school and life at USC. For the application, click here.
