WiSE Undergraduate Research Experience – Researchers
Application due Monday, April 1
The goal of this program is to provide upper-level undergraduate students with first-hand experience in laboratory-based research and to thereby encourage promising students to pursue graduate studies in the sciences and/or engineering. A $3,000 grant the semester in which research is conducted, $500 during each of the Fall and Spring Semesters for participation in the WiSE Research Programming Series, and $500 in advisor support.
Merit Award for Current Doctoral Students
Application due Monday, April 8
The Merit Award for Current Doctoral Students is offered to current Ph.D. students at USC who demonstrate exceptional work in their field. Two candidates will be chosen from the USC Dana and David Dornsife College of Letters, Arts, and Sciences and two from the Viterbi School of Engineering. Candidates are nominated by the faculty. Each one-year WiSE Fellowship carries a stipend of $1,500.
**Project Scientist Academy: STEM Programs for girls ages 4-17
Project Scientist Academy is a summer program on university campuses where girls are immersed in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) learning from a tailored curriculum facilitated by highly skilled and credentialed educators, participating in exciting hands-on experiments and field trips, and daily interactions with female role models from a variety of STEM fields. If you believe your daughter would benefit from a community of like-minded girls that enjoy exploring through the sciences and celebrating their accomplishes, then Project Science is the place for her!
