Mount Saint Mary’s Looking for Master’s or PhD Candidate for Adjunct Instructor

Mount Saint Mary’s University is looking for instructors to teach the following courses: Scientific Concepts at our Doheny campus (Downtown, near USC) and Introductory Physics at our Chalon campus (in Brentwood, north of the Getty). Classes begin August 26th.

Courses and times are listed below with the total pay for each. At minimum degree level, we need instructors with either a Masters or PhD candidate.

Introductory Physics 1A (Course designed and ready to teach.)

Lecture: 3 units (Masters: $3993/course; PhD $4398/course)

Lecture, three hours, discussion, one hour. An algebra-based physics course covering statics dynamics, and an introduction to electricity.
M/W 12:40pm – 2:10pm, F 12:40 – 1:40pm

PHS_001_D1 Scientific Concepts
This introductory course is designed to provide students with basic knowledge of the scientific principles that govern our environment. The primary emphasis is chemistry, including an overview of the properties of chemicals with a closer look at the atom, the elements, and chemical bonds and reactions. Also addressed are topics in Physics such as mechanics, heat and energy. This course will provide students with the foundation needed for continued study in the sciences and applied fields such as nursing.
