Optional Practical Training (OPT): GAPP office is now accepting OPT applications for fall 2017 graduating international students. Please review policy details and steps before submitting your application.
Important reminders about OPT:
- Job offer is not required to apply
- Processing time is approximately 3 months.
- OIS recommends graduates apply for OPT as soon as possible.
- There is no expedite process
Reduced Course Load (RCL): If you are an international student enrolling less than full-time enrollment this semester (8 credits for Master’s; 6 credits for PhD), please submit your RCL request online.
PhD students must make an appointment to meet with either Jennifer Gerson or Tracy Charles for RCL. Dropping below full time enrollment can affect eligibility for funding.
Final semester RCL is not done automatically. You still need to submit your RCL request if it is your final semester.
