Bridging the Path from Lab to Market: The I-Corps Program

Have you wondered whether your research could be a useful commercial product, but aren’t sure how to find out? Interested in receiving a $50K grant to decide whether building a startup is right for you?

The I-Corps program was created by the National Science Foundation in 2011 to help move academic research to market. The NSF offers select participants from US academic laboratories the opportunity to participate in a special, accelerated version of Stanford University’s Lean LaunchPad course.

Join us on February 14 at 12pm to hear about USC teams that have participated in the National Science Foundation’s I-Corps program, transforming their research results into successful startups. Speakers will discuss their experiences with the program, giving you an inside look at how research moves from a lab bench experiment to an actual product. We’ll also tell you how you can be eligible for a $50K grant to transform your work into a startup.

Eat pizza and meet with others at USC who are interested in innovation and entrepreneurship!

Where:  EEB 248

When: Wednesday, February 14 at Noon; lunch will be provided
