2019 EngX hosted by Armani Research Lab will take place on February 23rd, 9:00 am – 4:00 pm on E-Quad. This is a signature Viterbi outreach program for middle and high school students. This event is focused on showing and demonstrating – not just telling – why we love engineering to middle and high school students (5th – 12th grade). https://armani.usc.edu/engx/
Volunteering students are needed for activity demo and registration. There are two volunteering shifts (8am-1pm and 12pm-5pm), though last year, some students volunteered for both shifts. We need about 60 volunteers.
What will you do as a volunteer?
- Show a student how to do an activity. We will train you at the beginning of your shift on the activity. The activities building from air-powered cars and circuits to understanding the mechanical/civil engineering behind Jenga.
- Register students and collect end-point surveys
- Interested in making your own demo/table? We still have two open tables in need of demos, so please ask!
If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Professor Andrea Armani at armani@usc.edu (Please include your name, ID, degree, major).
