LOOKING FOR GRADUATE INTERNS!
Openings Available: 2 Start Date: Summer 2019!
Compensation: Stipend, 6 hrs/week, Schedule is flexible.
Assist with implementing specialized programming to address the needs of PhD students and postdoctoral staff on both the Health Science (HSC) and University Park (UPC) campuses.
The interns will be responsible for the planning and execution of the ninth Annual PhD and Postdoctoral Career Conference. Interns will take the lead in developing partnerships with the employer community, faculty, campus partner’s organizations, and department heads. Interns will serve as a liaison between the Graduate Student Government (GSG) on both the HSC and UPC campuses.
Successful candidates will possess 1-2yrs of work experience; enrolled in a USC PhD program that allows for an additional 15% appointment during 2019-2020 academic year. Have solid creative, organizational and online research background; strong interest in career development, and knowledge of working within and outside the academy. Experience with graphic design (InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Canva), social media (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn), and marketing (print and digital). Prior event planning a plus. The candidates should have strong teamwork skills, excellent oral/written communication, a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
