It’s the end of the school year, one more test question: How can you give back to the community, help reduce crime, and improve the environment?
Answer: The Department of Public Safety (DPS) and USC Housing have teamed up with the American Textile Recycling Service and Goodwill to accept your unwanted clothing, blankets, bed sheets, and non-perishable canned foods. Donation bins have been placed at various campus housing customer service centers both on and off campus. Bins are also available at public areas throughout the surrounding USC community. A map of these bins is available on the DPS website. These bins will be available on Wednesday, May 1st through Wednesday, May 8th.
Your Donated Items:
Will be provided to families in need, and because many of these items typically end up in the trash, your donations will be reused or recycled appropriately and not taken to a landfill. In past years, many of these items have been found in dumpsters or next to dumpsters causing the community to look unsafe and attracting an undesired population to take these items, as well as other personal unattended property.
