All faculty, teaching assistants, and students in affected courses will not be in the classroom. Everyone will participate from their office/home to test out their abilities to conduct this class fully online. Faculty and students can view specific instructions to participate via WebEx and information will also be posted on the course page at http://courses.uscden.net

Faculty and teaching assistants will be emailed specific information to teach the class online via WebEx. All students in affected courses should follow instructions posted to their course. It will include information about WebEx. Students will join and be muted as to not disrupt your instruction. DEN staff will record the session. You can join WebEx from a computer and utilize a webcam for video and audio, or join audio from your phone. Do not share any content as it will interrupt the class. If you have to present, see the Student Presentation section below. 

Detailed instructions for using WebEx to participate with your class can be found on your course page announcement at https://courses.uscden.net. 

The class sessions will still be recorded and posted to your course page by DEN.

You should be receiving direct emails from faculty and our exams team with specific instructions.

DEN STUDENTS: Since the exam format and requirements may change or be postponed, we understand that this will create issues and inconveniences. We try to accommodate faculty as best we can with exams and it will affect DEN students who already had scheduled exams and apologize for issues this may create for you.

If your class requires you to present, this can be done within WebEx. Please alert our instructional services team if you need any assistance with using WebEx to present before the class session. We can help you test but please contact our help desk as soon as possible.

There are two primary lecture video systems available to USC currently; Zoom and WebEx. 

DEN provides WebEx and Desire2Learn (https://courses.uscden.net) for all DEN courses. In a few cases, faculty will be using Zoom/Piazza. 

Log on to your course page for specific announcements and instructions on how to access live lectures and discussions. All sessions will be recorded and posted to your course page.

If you already connect to your class via WebEx, you will continue to use that information to access the live class.  You will have additional students and faculty joining the WebEx session online now and not from our classroom. The videos will be archived on our course page as usual.

If you are already scheduled to take exams with a proctor, the modality may change.  Our exams and instructional support teams are working with faculty on new exam delivery and any new information to students would be sent out immediately following.  You will receive separate emails about exam instructions or changes.  If you have questions, please contact our exams coordinator at denexams@usc.edu.
